Western Maryland Scenic Railroad - For All Ages * All aboard! The Western Maryland Scenic Railroad is ready to take you on a journey through time to another era. We begin with a visit to the C&O Canal Visitors Center and Canal Museum. Then it's time to board the historic vintage 1916 Baldwin steam engine locomotive for a breathtaking 32 mile ride through Maryland's most pristine mountains to Frostburg and back. *Applicable to 10 day/9 night stay or longer

6 Hole Glo Golf - Ages 12 & Up Experience 6 Hole Glo Golf under the moonlight. Glo Golf is played under the moonlight with minimal course lighting. Special golf balls are used with different colored glow sticks inside the ball. The hole cups are illuminated with blinking glow sticks. Come and enjoy this mood altering experience! Each 4some must have 2 people 16 or up in age to drive the golf cart.

Paintball - Teens Only Experience the intensity of a team challenge unlike any other. Teams must work together to plan a strategy, communicate effectively with one another and successfully implement their plan by capturing the opponent's flag. The playing field will provide cover and concealment in this wooded battlefield. This challenge will let participants know what it is like to "Be the Hunted".

Family Geocaching - For All Ages For those of you looking for a high-tech adventure team building challenge, this is the ultimate treasure hunt. Learn the basics of using a hand held GPS unit, get your coordinates and head out with your team. The hunt will begin! Western Maryland Adventures trained staff will meet you in the lobby of the resort. Once the group has been divided into teams we will head outside. Teams will be given a backpack with a GPS unit, clipboard listing the hidden caches and a park map. Facilitators will teach everyone how to use the GPS unit. In this event teams will be going on what we call a "high-tech adventure" treasure hunt that is fun for all ages.

Rocky Gap Family Olympics - Ages 6 & Up Take advantage of this unique opportunity to become an athlete in the Family Olympics! Experience what it is like to be part of an exciting, challenging, and fun filled adventure for the entire family. Families will be divided into teams representing a variety of countries. First you will create a flag, join in a parade introducing the countries and then light the torch. Once the torch is lit, "let the games begin" teams will move through a series of zany, crazy and fun Olympic events. Although the events are challenging, even a couch potato athlete can succeed. Points will be tallied for each event and at the end, we will hold the awards ceremony where medals will be given. When the torch is extinguished, athletes will walk away with medals, a sense of teamwork and memories that will last a lifetime.

Scavenger Hunt - Ages 12 & Up Teams will need to use their deductive reasoning skills for this event. They will be given a list of clues in the for of rhymes and riddles. Once they solve them they will need to collect the necessary items in record time to win the event.

Scales & Tales - For All Ages Meet some of the native birds of prey and reptiles up close and personal. The Maryland Park Service Aviary staff will bring the animals of the Scales & Tales program. Some of the guests you will meet include: Owls, Hawks, Vulture and Snakes! This informative and entertaining program uses live non-releasable birds of prey and reptiles to promote steward-ship of our wildlife and other natural resources. Through the stories, or "tales" learn how these animals came into the care of the program. How raptors and reptiles use their extraordinary senses to survive in the wild. What is fact and what is fiction. Why raptors are considered the best hunters in the sky. Share myths, truths, and benefits about these scaly reptile creatures. Scales & Tales naturalists also discuss very important environmental issues, such as loss of habitat, environmental pollution, resource management and biodiversity.

Evening Campfire - For All Ages When the sun sets at Rocky Gap, it's time to unwind by the campfire. So wander down to the backyard behind the pool for our lakeside campfire. Roast a marshmallow or two. Music will be provided. Snacks and beverages will be served.
